Chances are you’ve heard of a celebrity or facialist rave about the amazing affects of light therapy.
So what is it?
LED light therapy uses different coloured lights at different wavelengths to treat a variety of skin conditions. Red light specifically penetrates a few millimetres below the skin’s surface and stimulates skin cells to regenerate! Red light is good for fine lines and wrinkles by increasing the production of collagen and elastin.
(Scroll down to read about all the different light colours, including blue for acne!)
Red light therapy used to only be available in clinics and spas but now devices like Foreo UFO 2 let’s you do it yourself at home!
